The Stem Player is an audio remix device and music streaming platform developed by British technology company Kano Computing in collaboration with American artist Kanye West.
A pebble-sized MP3 Player that doubles as a portable remixer. That means that as well as loading it up with your own tracks, you can play around with them by isolating their various elements.
Soft reminiscent of flesh, and was designed to feel like a natural extension of the body so this photoshoot was based around keeping the properties of nature.
The goal of this is to showcase how this simple yet elegant and technologically advanced design is synonymous with the primitive yet undeniable beauty of nature.
Like a sci-fi depiction of a spacecraft, I envisioned a Stem Player crash landing at the beach. Unbeknown to the nearby beachgoers the Stem Player effortlessly blends into to foreground, as few may assume it's just another sea shell playing in the ocean.
